Particularly driven by alternative approaches to exhibition-making, I have developed innovative projects around the world between artists, institutions, curators, critics and collectors.
At Edouard Malingue Gallery (Hong Kong/Shanghai) from 2012-2020, I collaborated closely with the gallery’s roster of contemporary artists across Asia and the West developing projects, writing texts on their practice, exhibitions, and connecting them globally with curators, writers, institutions and collectors. Based out of London since 2017, I built the gallery's activity across Europe via institutional collaborations and pop-ups, whilst overseeing the gallery’s running international projects.
In September 2019, I identified and oversaw the launch of Edouard Malingue Gallery’s temporary project space in London in a grade 1-listed building and programmed three site-specific exhibitions till March 2020. The running of the space was accompanied by a rich public programme that expanded the exhibitions across multiple disciplines, from active panel discussions to live music concerts and yoga.
In 2020 I founded Apsara Studio, a creative agency that creates beautiful projects with meaning. Our main venture is AORA, a virtual platform co-founded with Benni Allan, that carefully brings together art, architecture and music with the aim of instilling a sense of calm, wellbeing. Launching June 2020, AORA SPACE exhibits emerging to established contemporary artists and features a correlative piece of new music by a composer in each hall. At the heart of AORA is also a rich by-subscription live programme creating a sense of community entitled EXCHANGE, curated in response to each exhibition, bringing together experts from art to architecture as well as music, food and movement.
